Brandon Christensen, General Manager
Brandon brings over 15 years of expertise in the golf and country club industries, with a deep understanding of member and guest expectations. Since moving to Arizona in 2016, after time in South Dakota, Nebraska, and California, he has focused on creating memorable experiences for everyone at the club. As General Manager, his commitment to exceptional service drives every decision he makes. Outside of work, Brandon and his wife, Julie, along with their three children, love to hike, travel, and play golf together as a family.
Scott Bunker, Director of Golf
Scott was again recognized by Golf Digest as a Top 10 Instructor in Arizona.. He has been on their list every year since 2000. Scott was named Teacher of the Year by the Southwest PGA in 2000. He was previously Director of Instruction with the John Jacob's Golf Schools, starting his golf teaching career there in 1979.
Scott has taught all over the world teaching golfers from beginners to professionals. He currently offers private lessons to members as well as clinics to beginners, men, women and juniors. He also runs the summer junior camp at Red Mountain Ranch Country Club every summer. Scott and his wife Mary have three boys, Jeffrey, Ryan and Kyle.
Nick Von Wiegen, Golf Course Superintendent
Nick has many outstanding qualities, starting with a great education, significant experience and plenty of confidence. Nick has a beautiful wife, three children and grew up right here in Mesa. Nick’s love for golf course maintenance started 14 years ago at Painted Mountain Golf Club here in Mesa, while he was going to Red Mountain High School.
Nick loved golf course work right from the start, learning the trade from Gale Crawford, then superintendent at Painted Mountain. Nick decided he would turn his studies to Turf Management and Agronomy in college and enrolled at Rutgers University in New Jersey, one of the top Turf Management Programs in the country, where he excelled as an honor student. The past 10 years, Nick has worked at fine golf facilities in Arizona, Texas, and Florida.
Gwendolyn Sheldon, Director of Sales
We are thrilled to introduce Gwendolyn Sheldon as the new Sales Director at Red Mountain. Gwen joins us with a degree in Communications from Southern Oregon University, where she also excelled as a college athlete for five years. Her athletic experience has instilled in her a dedication to teamwork, a competitive spirit, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
As Sales Director, Gwen is committed to driving our sales initiatives and enhancing customer satisfaction. Her strong communication skills and keen eye for detail make her an invaluable asset to our team. Gwen is passionate about connecting with our community and providing exceptional service to all our members and guests.
Cameron Waltier, Food & Events Coordinator
We’re excited to welcome Cameron Waltier as our Food & Events Coordinator. Cameron brings a wealth of experience from her time as a server, bartender, and banquet team member at our sister course, Orange Tree. Her dedication, hard work, and keen eye for detail are matched by her knowledge gained through a degree in business management and hands-on experience in the field.
Originally from Washington, Cameron has embraced Arizona and is passionate about contributing to the vibrant community at Red Mountain. We’re thrilled to have her on board to help create exceptional experiences for our guests.
Christopher Burt, Head Chef
Christopher Burt brings a wealth of experience and passion to Red Mountain Ranch Country Club as our Executive Chef. Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Christopher spent 11 years serving in the United States Army. During his last two years of service, he pursued his culinary education, specializing in advanced pastry techniques.
With a diverse culinary background, Christopher is passionate about crafting BBQ, Midwest cuisine, Asian dishes, and pastries. His vision is to infuse every dish with passion, pride, and quality, both in the restaurant and our banquet offerings, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for all.
Robert Leckington, Sous Chef
Robert, a native of Gilbert, AZ, discovered his passion for the Food and Beverage industry after embarking on a career as a service and repair contractor for Sears. While managing a pizza restaurant, he honed his skills and expertise before joining RMRCC as a dishwasher in 2016. Recognized for his exceptional work ethic and culinary talents, Robert swiftly rose through the ranks, assuming greater responsibilities.
As an embodiment of creativity and dedication to his craft, it was only natural to select Robert as our esteemed Sous Chef. His commitment to excellence and his unwavering pride in his culinary creations make him an ideal choice for leading our culinary team. Beyond the kitchen, Robert enjoys indulging in his favorite pastimes on the golf course and cherishing moments spent with his loved ones.
Stephana Diumenti Kirts, Fitness Director
Stephana is an A.C.E. Certified Personal Trainer and Group Instructor as well as a Health and Wellness Coach. She has been instructing groups for over six years and has strong passion and enthusiasm about Health & Wellness, and really enjoys helping others find success and happiness through fitness! She has a background in Hotel/Resort Management in which she had an internship at The Grand Hotel on Mackinack Island in Michigan.
She's also worked at other Golf resorts in the area, such as the Boulders and Scottsdale Villa Mirage, in Management for over fifteen years! Stephana is a third generation Arizona native, and when she's not in the gym, hiking the beautiful Superstitions, or walking her four puppies, you can find her on the football field coaching her nine year old grandson and his team! Stephana says motivating people to be the best version of themselves is what she loves waking up to everyday!
Ray Kheshvadjian, Racquet Sport Director
Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Ray was one and a half when his family moved to Los Angeles. Ray grew up playing all types of sports but did not pick up a tennis racquet until the age of 14. By the time he graduated high school he had put in more then enough time into tennis to get him to the next level.
In Ray’s short time on the tennis court, he learned to be productive and work hard to achieve his goals and play tennis at the next level. Ray played for Pierce Junior College for two years before transferring to Anderson University in South Carolina. Ray was ranked in the top 50 in Southern California junior college rankings and in the top 10 in doubles. He has also been ranked in the top 30in the nation singles and doubles men's 35 USTA.
